Prof. T. Harinarayana, Director, Gujarat Energy Research and Management Institute (GERMI), Gandhinagar, Gujarat received the “Energy and Environment Foundation Global Excellence Award-2014 in Renewable Energy Sector” during the inaugural ceremony of the 5th World Renewable Energy Technology Congress & Expo (WRETC)-2014 at Zorawar Hall, Manekshaw Centre, Delhi Cantt. Delhi on 21st August, 2014.

The Energy and Environment Foundation, with the support of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES), Govt. of India and UNESCO New Delhi has organized 5th World Renewable Energy Technology Congress & Expo (WRETC)-2014 from 21st to 23rd August, 2014 at Expo & Convention Centre, Zorawar Hall, Manekshaw Centre, Delhi Cantt. Delhi. The theme of the Congress is “Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency: Empowering Sustainable Tomorrow”. Prof. T. Harinarayana, Director, GERMI received the “Energy and Environment Foundation Global Excellence Award-2014 in Renewable Energy Sector” award this year for his 35 years outstanding contribution in the field of geothermal and solar. Other recipients of the award are Ms. Sunita Narain, Director, CSE, New Delhi, Mr. Mats Denninger, IETC, Sweden etc…
